Description
Rare, Victorian era 15k gold maireener shell brooch – sold separately but matches a pair of maireener shell earrings also in our collection.
These shells are found on Flinders Island and on the Coast of Tasmania, where they were traditionally collected by Aboriginal women to be crafted into jewellry.
This is a spectacular brooch, treating you to glorious swirls of purple, green and blue iridescence.
