A darling pair of shell cameos depicting Eros with swans dating from the 1840s. Later mounted in the early 20^th century into a bar brooch. The cameos are expertly carved in 3 colours, each layer of the shell having been carefully removed revealing a contrasting background. This has been achieved with great skill by the original carver.
